Celebrating African American Business Enterprise Day
“IMPROVING GEORGIA’S ECONOMY BY GROWING AFRICAN AMERICAN BUSINESS”
On Thursday, February 11, 2010, you are invited to join business owners and industry professionals along with the members of the Georgia Summit of African American Business Organizations (GSAABO) to celebrate “African American Business Enterprise Day.”
The annual event was approved by the Georgia General Assembly in 1993 and celebrates the achievements and contributions made by African American businesses throughout the State of Georgia.
Workshops and Awards Program Planned
You are are invited to participate in workshops that will address:

Activities will also include opportunities for vendors, an Awards program and networking.

“The Strength of the Wolf is in the Pack”
In 1995, the GSAABO Delegates established the “Silver Rights Award” to recognize the contributions made to support the “economic self-empowerment of African Americans” as outlined in the “Silver Rights Manifesto,” co-authored by State Senator Charles Walker of Augusta, the first African American elected Majority Leader in the Georgia Senate.
The “Wolf Award” and the “Pack Award” are presented annually to a distinguished GSAABO member and organization, respectfully given in honor of the GSAABO motto…“The Strength of the Wolf is in the Pack.”
